Dr. William David Thompson

Dave and I were medical school classmates and close friends. I was saddened to learn of his death. He is the first person I think of as I reminisce about my time in med school. I'm certain he was an exceptional physician.

Dr David Thompson was my Family Doctor for many years! He was loved and appreciated all those years and would still have been, had we not moved away! Condolences to family and friends, he will never be forgotten!!Er

Words will not say enough to describe this man. Doctor, Friend, Most Caring and genuine person I have ever known. Took such good care of my mother and family that words can't even describe the love and gratitude my family and I have had for this cherished friend. We and so many more will truly miss you. The world is a better place for you haveing been in it. May God comfort the family through this time.. And Doc looking forward to seeing you again on the other side.

You and your family arr in my prayers. May God grant yall peace and comfort during this time. Dr. Thompson was my physican, friend, and mentor. Though I have not seen him in several years, I will always remember and be inspired by the positive influence he made on my life.

Sorry for your loss,I had the pleasure of knowing Dr Thompson thru my mother Martha Roberta May he was her Dr. the only one she'd see no matter and appt or not he never said no to her,he was a very caring and loving physician. Rest in Heaven Dr you will be missed. Strength to the family.

I am so sad to hear of David's passing. We were class mates and I have so many memories -I just want his family to know that they are in my thoughts and prayers.

My condolences to David's entire family. I have not seen him since high school but it is always sad to hear of the passing of someone you knew well. From all accounts, he made a difference in the lives of his patients, family and friends. Well done David!

I worked with Dr. Thompson at the hospital for many years and filled in at the clinic when they needed someone. He was a good Doctor and well respected by his co-workers and patients. I know he will truly be missed by all but mostly his family, he talked highly about his family & he loved them dearly. My thoughts and payers are with you all during this difficult time. It's so much that I can write about Dr.Thompson but I will say this be was a. Wry Del to me and I will never forget him. He was my grandmother and my mother Dr as well as mine.Anytime anyone would ask me if I knew of a great De I wouldn't think twice on saying his name. I'm truly going to miss him as a physician and a friend. When his son Addison started medical school down in New Orleans Dr.Thompson called me and asked me would I help him move down there and without hesitation I said yes. I drove the u-haul truck down there. There's so many other special things I did for him and he did for me.

I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. David Thompson. He was a wonderful physician and a great friend. I share in your loss, and feel the ache that grief leaves.

I will never forget all that he did for me and my family, when he went out of his way to care for my Grandma Agnes Johnson, my Grandfather Bud York, and of course my mother. He and Dr. Johnson were an integral part of her expedited care to prevent the spread of her cancer. David went above and beyond when he visited with my grandmother in her final hours, and made time to stop by my Pappaw Mike's house to talk about having furniture built, or just to check in on him when he was sick. He also treated them like family, and loved them like they were his own when he didn't have to. David was a Godsend, and I could never imagine my life without him.

I have never heard an Ill word spoken of him. He was a kind, compassionate true gentleman, and sadly there are too few people like that in the world today.

I hope, that in the weeks and months to come, I will be able to return the kindness that he showed my family by continuing to keep his family in our prayers. I will never be able to repay all that he has done. However I would like to do whatever I can to honor his memory.

I extend my sympathies to the entire Thompson family, and let them know that they are not alone in their grief, and pain, that it is shared throughout the community that knew him as I did.

I am so saddened by the loss of Dr. Thompson, he was a fine Dr. And friend. I thought of him all day on Monday. He was always in my prayers for healing.

Thank you Dr. Thompson for your guidance and for all your help in the time we worked together. The knowledge I got from you I use every day. You were definitely one of a kind. You will be greatly missed by all. Rest now Doc. Godspeed.
