Our family doctor for years. I remember when my son, Billy, tripped and fell onto the corner of oor fireplace, he was under 2, I think. Around 1985. Split open above his upper lip. It was Saturday evening and I called his after hours phone he picked up, his family had just gotten home from an outing, he said to meet him in his office, he and his wife came in 10 minutes. He was a surgeon in Taiwan and the cost for licensing for him was not possible because his family was so young. He became a general practitioner. He was so gentle with my son who was so frightened, as he performed the minor surgery of sewing up the hairline split. His stitches were perfect small..only a tiny white line remains to this day. He was always so great with the entire family. He talked me through when I was just getting on my bp meds as well as prescribing Serotonin for my issues going through my divorce and raising 2 children on my own. Talking about my symptoms thoroughly before prescribing anything. Always remembering him and Yuh-Fang fondly. May his gentle soul rest in peace. Beloved by all who knew him.

Doctor Hsiao was a fantastic human being who cared deeply about his patients. He went to my mothers house and called her on the weekends at 10:00 PM to let her know if her test results showed something wrong. My deepest condolences to his family. He was one of a kind for sure.

We loved Dr.Hsaio beyond words. We have only had one other Dr that came close to him but not quite. I remember driving by the office at 10/11pm and he was still there. He took great care of us and yes was very patient when my kids were born. I loved the staff as well . Laurie always found a way to fit one of us in, Brooke was young but super sweet and we enjoyed Marsha too. He was an amazing man and will be so deeply missed. We were just talking about him the other day when my husband told the story of how he cut himself badly on the leg and Dr. Hsiao stitched him up and said no work, no lifting for 2 weeks . Well Dan being Dan didn´t listen and he piped a stitch or 2 and Dr said well should have listened and proceeded to stitch him again with no numbing med. then he said to Dan now you will listen to me right??? Omg he was amazing. Sending love and condolences to the whole family. Lynne &Dan Godbout

Sending condolences to the Hsiao family on such a tremendous loss. We are heartbroken, and I´m sure all of Belchertown will be saddened by the loss of Dr. Hsiao. He was truly a healer who took the time with each and every patient to successfully diagnose every ailment. When he began his practice in Btown, my children Brooke and Jason, my husband and I were fortunate to become his patients. His mind was magical and I was amazed at the way he could remember every detail of his patients´ names and histories without looking at his notes. Every once in awhile, we´d see that twinkle in his eye and he´d laugh when the children caught him off guard with a comment. I will miss him but will cherish the times spent in his presence. Sending love and strength to his family. Sincerely, Nancy Fraga

Dear Yuh-Fang, Amy, Lisa, Sue-Chen, Yuh-Fang, Alex & extended family, so very sorry for your great loss but grateful for all who shared his life. He lives on in all of you. He helped many strangers for me in emergencies with his dedication, grace and caring. He has been missed since leaving Btown but his retirement was well-earned!he was easy with which to chat and joke.A rare professional.
