I think of Dreda often, and of her husband, kids, and grandchildren. I especially remember our lunch conversations when we were working together. We'd talk about our families. I looked up to Dreda for the way nothing stopped her. She loved and cared for her family tirelessly, whether it involved traveling for happy events or just to help out wherever she was needed. The best kind of person.

Mrs. Shoemo popped into my head today so I decided to look her up online. I'm so very sorry for your loss. She taught both of my sons in elementary school. What a wonderful teacher and one of the kindest people you'd ever meet. Even after my sons went on to Middle school, sometimes I'd see Mrs. Shoemo in WalMart and we'd talk a few minutes. The world is a little less bright now; but Heaven has gained an angel. God Bless all of Mrs Shoemo's family.

I have known Dreda , since we were children, she was always a very nurturing and caring person, very much like her Mom. My Prayers and Condolences to the Broussard and Shoemo Family as I know the Matriarch of this family will be truly missed. May God Bless you all with Peace and Comfort as you await to see Your Love one again , never to be Separated, onThe Great Ressurection Day . Love Shelia.

I worked with Dreda for several years serving families of children with special needs. We became good friends, and I admired her for many reasons - her dedication to her whole family including grandchildren, her church work and volunteer mentoring (as if her own 6 weren't enough!), her dedication to the work we did with through the school system and the way she faced her illness. I will continue thinking of you, her family, and I'll always admire Dreda.
