Message from Rev. Robert & Olaya Rascon
December 6, 2017 10:55 PM
Just today, we were told of Drew's passing. Who would have known, as we visited a local restaurant, and Olaya mentioned that Drew use to work with her at Good Samaritan. We talked, and he shared about having finished school, and possibly pursuing a masters program degree. For now, he was doing what was possible until things would develop. He was kind and very caring, it was a great visit. So we find ourselves very sadden to know it had been 3-5 days prior to his departure. We can only imagine the lose felt in the family. Our prayers of comfort and love are sent to the Drew's family.

To Paul, Angie, Shelby and Morgan and those who knew Drew.
My heart is weeping for you all.
I pray God strengthens your family as you move forward through this unimaginable time.
I knew him first in 8th grade, Kim's Tae Kwon Do, then he invited me to church.
He was my buddy and I never knew a greater servant leader. I will never forget how he blessed people with his warm presence and his witty and intelligent cheer. Miss ya brother.
Be at peace, hope to see you again soon.

Drew's family & friends,
I just happened to see Drew's obit on the DT website- I'm so sorry for your loss. I thought of Drew a couple weeks ago after seeing his picture on the wall at Kim's Tae Kwon Do in Kirtland and immediately thought of his kind smile & big hugs. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

The faculty and students in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communications are all deeply saddened to learn of Drew's passing. He was one of the most positive, kind, helpful and decent individuals we have ever met. He was a joy to teach and always brought thoughtful comments to class discussions. We will remember his smiling face and his helpfulness and intellect always. Sincerely, Mary Lamonica, Dept. of Journalism, NMSU
