Our hearts are breaking for you in your loss of Drew! We struggle with understandng why God takes one at such an early age, only to leave a loving, grieving family... but there are no answers this side of heaven. What we do know is that He, Himself, is the Great Comforter, and He promises that you will see Drew again, knowing that He accepted the Lord, and is, even now, in His loving care. Therefore, in the midst of your pain, you can find peace. I was thinking back over the many, many years we've been great friends, and over the many conversations I've had with Drew, and I remember him for his love for his family, his compassion, and his keen intelligence! He always had a ready smile, and enjoyed life. What will eventually replace the void in your hearts, are the memories that will come flooding in at just the right time, reminding you that he is still alive, just on the other side of the curtain now. We love you all, and pray God's blessings on each of you! Jan and Steve Matlock

I enjoyed playing video games, swimming, and hide and go seek with him and his father at Fitness Center. He was the smartest friend I ever had and was always kind to people. He was a pioneer at computers, swimming, and inspired me in both computers and swimming pool designs. One idea he had at 12 years old was to wake up, open a window and slide down to the pool. When I had a customer request Disney land in his backyard, I designed a 1.2 mill. pool and a tube slide from the second story balcony.
His ideas I keep under lock and key and were 20-25 years ahead of any pool builder today. Another idea was built at a hotel in Hawaii with a water elevator, my most favorite idea was a dive bell at bottom of pool to a secret room.
I will always miss my best childhood friend.
God Bless Drew and his wonderful family for the kindness they shared with me.
