Yuhas, Duane F. Age 60, of Waukesha. Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, January 26, 2010, after a long and courageous battle with ALS. He is survived by Anne (nee Sitter), his loving wife of 28 years. Dear father of Sarah, Lara, Jack (Ann) Yuhas and Skye Spence. Grandpa of 7 grandchildren. Survived by his brothers, Dennis (Mary Beth), Marty (Nancy) and Kevin (Rosie) Yuhas; his sisters, Carol (Jim) Munday, Cynthia (Bob) Staub, Marsha Rich and Geri Wasczak. Also survived by other relatives and friends. He was dearly loved by his four-footed canine friend, Bailey. He was preceded in death by his parents Al and Lucille Yuhas, his brother Tom, and sisters Nancy Koloski and Beverly Friske. Duane was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, during the Vietnam war, where he received the Purple Heart. His humor throughout his illness was remarkable. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 29, from 3-6PM, AT CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1875 N. Calhoun Rd., Brookfield. Services will begin at 6PM. Following cremation, private inurnment at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the ALS Association are appreciated.
