Duncan, you taught me so much and mentored me so well. Thank you. Nancy, I am so sorry for your loss, he was a wonderful and challenging man who made a huge difference.

Although we only knew Duncan for a very short period of time, his independence and wry sense of humour made a distinct impression on us. We always looked forward to a chance encounter as we crossed paths on the sidewalk near our house. Nancy, we are very sorry for your loss and our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Nancy,

My thoughts are with you and your family. I will always remember and treasure wonderful times spent with you and Duncan and will of course never forget the pleasure I have had from Duncan's wonderful museums, exhibitions and stories. Please accept my sincerest condolences.

Duncan, the museum world in Canada will never forget you, or your mission to transform Canadian cultural heritage protection. For your visionary gifts to the Glenbow Museum during your tenure, your old friends from Glenbow are eternally grateful.

Duncan had a significant, positive influence on museums and the cultural life of Canada (and the USA at one point). He will be missed and fondly remembered. I always enjoyed encounters with him... they were guaranteed to be intellectually stimulating, and fun - a great combination.

To Nancy, Seana and David,

It has been many years but I am thinking of you and sending my condolences to all of you. My father often spoke of my Uncle Duncan and their childhood and of course grandma and grandpa Cameron. I will always remember Duncan as a handsome, intelligent man and one who led a very fulfilling and interesting life. I hope to see you at the Toronto memorial.

Although I have lived in Mexico for many years I am frequently reminded of my time as an artist in Calgary which, of course, always included you both and the Glenbow. My thoughts are with you and your family Nancy.

Sincerely, Jane Evans (Ross)
