I used to travel for a living and I purchased a Sirius radio so i wouldn't forever be changing the station. I loved hearing Dusty, I originally from the San Francisco area, Eastern US now and that's the area I traveled through. I Always got a smile on my face when I heard "Fly Low and Avoid the Radar" That's exactly what I'd do on my way home after a 6 month contract away from Husband and Kids. Fly High Dusty!

Wow! I just heard the news from Jim Ladd on the radio. I didn't get to know of Dusty Street until SXM, but I'm glad for the time I was able to listen to her. Thank you, Dusty, for all the stories and music. I will miss her.

I supported Dusty when she did a radio show out of the RR Hall of Fame in Cleveland. She was always so patient and good natured as I would work remotely to fix what ever problem we had. We always had a good conversation about radio and I knew she was a true broadcaster. I appreciated and admired her greatly.
Rest well Dusty and thank you!

Called her on ksan live the night before Raider viking

She announced free ticket to l.a. game and call p.h.
At midnight. Raider fan took us to l.a. and saved the

I first heard Dusty Street on SiriusXM´s deep tracks. Growing up in Canada we didn't have access to her early and long career prior to SiriusXM. So I came to her party a bit late. But I´m glad I made it there. I loved her delivery and soothing voice, like she was just one of my friends giving me the goods on the music she played. She was a fantastic fountain of music knowledge. And she will be hugely missed. My condolences to her family, friends and the many, dare I say, life long fans she had. Dusty, easy on the many musicians you´ll be running into up there! Should be fun.

Farewell funny lady. Long before our KSAN days, I remember lunch on the grass outside the Art bldg at SF State with Robbie Conal & my roommates Jane Dornacker & Karin Fosselius with Dusty would join us from the Media/Drama building. We were so young and we laughed and laughed.

I have been a Sirius XM listener for a long time and Dusty was always a friend on the airwaves. A regret I will carry forward is that I never called in to tell her how much she mattered. Her passing makes my world a smaller place. Rock on Dusty- you were the best.

My name is Melinda. I am Dusty’s cousin. Our mothers were sisters. I am so very sorry to hear about her passing. She was living in Cleveland and then most recently In Eugene, Oregon. For some reason we did not stay in touch very often. I live in Marin County. California. I did not know that she was not well until I learned that she had passed away! Rest In Peace dear cousin!

I don't remember the first time I heard Dusty Street. It seems like she was always on the radio. Love Deep Tracks for bringing attention to lesser known rock music by a rock music lover. Sadly, another great one gone.

Growing up in Southern California and listening to her voice on KROQ. Her voice and song selection were epic and it was one more reason I was proud to be from SoCal and never going to leave. The beach never sounded so good. RIP!
