Dwain A. Nicodemus, age 51, of Eaton, OH, passed into eternity suddenly on Tuesday morning, December 28, 2010. Born June 3, 1959 in Troy, OH, he was a son of Dale M. & Emelyn L. (Denlinger) Nicodemus. A great friend to many, he was a member of Gateway Baptist Church and 26 year employee for Lewisburg Container where he worked as a supervisor. He loved the outdoors, fishing, was an avid Steelers fan and CB radio user. Dwain enjoyed helping others and had formerly been a girls softball coach and team softball player. Preceded in death by his father Dale Nicodemus in 1974. A loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, he is survived by wife Suzanne M. (Thompson) Nicodemus whom he married September 23, 1989: daughters Holly Schenkel & husband Lance of Richmond, IN; Ashley Maloney & husband Shaun of Lewisburg, OH; and Hannah Nicodemus at home: grandchildren Taylor and Kenzie Henson, Nathan Schenkel and Ethan Kelley: mother Emelyn Nicodemus of Eaton: brothers and sister Dean Nicodemus & wife Anita of Eaton; Lorena Betzner & husband Glenn of West Alexandria, OH; and Darin Nicodemus of Eaton: nephews and niece Dale and Donnie Nicodemus, Aaron, Caleb and Danielle Betzner, Derek Nicodemus. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, December 31, 2010 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria. Pastor Ron Sparks presiding. Friends may call on the family from 4:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the family to benefit Hannah’s future educational needs through Freedom First Credit Union, Eaton, OH. Interment Preble Memory Gardens.
