My heart and prayers go out to the entire Booth family and his countless host of friends and former students. It was a pleasure to teach alongside Dwanye at Solid Rock Academy and be a member of the Women's choir at Central United Methodist under his leadership. He remains extremely gifted, talented, and blessed in my mind. I pray we will meet again in Glory. Peace to his family I pray for God's comfort for your sorrows.

Although I knew him for a couple of years, it seemed like a lifetime.I am grateful for having known Dwayne the Praiser, the Worshiper, the Musician, the teacher. I miss his warm, infectious smile, his phone calls just to say hello. I miss hearing him directing the choirs with such zeal and zest for the songs that he was directing. No one will ever be able to take his place in the lives of the children that he touched. He taught them the meaning of worship and praise. He taught them how to worship and praise. The words to the songs were more than just words, they were a message. Now he is directing the choir in heaven, stomping a hole in the floor of the city and waving that towel at the messenger. I love you, Dwayne and miss you terribly. May you now rest in peace.

Mr. Booth and our family was close... He was our choir director at both New Macedonia (Riverdale, GA) and Travelers Rest (Morrow, GA). He was a wonderful musician and singer as well... R.I.P Dwayne Boothe

I cant even begin to tell you all how much dwyane ment to me. When we were in columbus wherever he went I went. Where ever he played I tried to sing. We were cousins but it always seemed like brother and sisters. He touched so many lives with his music. I refuse to say goodbye because I know we will meet again. I know he is stumping a hole in a floor in heaven playing the piano. He played for Faith Ensemble which became a family like no other I will miss you dwyane from saying Butts and Booth I love you signed your cousin Cornelia Butts.

Mr. Booth taught me at Old National Christian Academy and we all loved him. On behalf of my family we are so sorry for the world's lost of a great musician, teacher and person.

WOW !!!!! HE IS THE REASON I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE TO SING. IM SO SADDENED. I LOVED HIM. I MISS ALL THE JOKES AND WORDS OF WISDOM. HE WAS SO REAL AND GENUINE, AS A FORMER SOLID ROCK ACADEMY STUDENT, I OWE MY VOICE STRENGTH AND THE PLACES ITS HAS TAKEN ME, TO #1 GOD, BUT DEFINITELY #2 TO MR. BOOTH. I AM GOING TO MISS HIM FOREVER.

My heart is so deeply saddened by the passing of my dear brother and musician friend Dwayne Booth who I loved so very dearly and who brought so much joy to all of us through his playing, his singing, his teaching, his lively personality and his infectious smile. Dwayne was very gifted and was never selfish in using his gift to touch all of our lives through his music. I will miss him tremendously but in the words of the songwriter that wrote the Hymn Bye and Bye when the morning comes. When all the Saints of God are gathered home. We will tell the story how we've overcome. We will understand it better Bye and Bye. Dwayne I will always love you, miss you and will never forget you so Rest in Peace my brother and my friend. Rest in Peace. To Mrs. Jessie Booth and the Booth Family, you will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time so Be Not Dismayed Whatever Betide. God will take care of you. I pray your strength in the Lord.

Dwayne Booth - there are no words to adequately describe how much I loved and still love Dwayne. We shared a devoted caring friendship of over 25 years. During some of the roughest times of our lives, we were there for one another. He was very dear to me and I miss him more than I'll ever be able to say. As excitable and silly as he could be sometimes, that's just who he was and I'll miss his humor and love for music. What moves through me is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. None of us may understand why our beloved Dwayne left this earth so soon, or why he left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that he has made his transition to life eternal, but that he lived and continues to live in our hearts. His life gave us memories too beautiful to forget. I am praying for the family asking God to continue keeping his loving arms around them and all of us who are feeling this void. While my heart is deeply saddened, I know God makes no mistakes. We all must pass this way. Rest on, my very beloved friend and brother.

On behalf of the Beulah Baptist Church in Atlanta, we were sad to hear of the passing of Mr. Booth. Mr. Booth came over and taught a workshop years ago and the songs are still being performed to this day. God Bless the family and may his spirit rest with the Lord.

I am truly blessed to have known Brother Booth. He was very enthusiastic and full of life ! He taught me to remember who I was to sing to and that was to sing unto God.

Rest in Peace, Dwayne Booth. Although it is very difficult to grasp on to the fact that you are gone from us, the memories of our childhood, the school corridors, chorus, collaborating in the piano practice rooms, laughter, tears, musical journies, workshop ventures and singing all over the city (3 and 4 programs a Sunday) will live on in my heart forever. I am really going to miss all of that energy, excitement and that fantastic smile.
