Dwayne Christiansen Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 6, 2025.
Dwayne Robert Christiansen, 71, of Tacoma, WA, known to family and friends as "Do", was born on September 23, 1953, and passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of service, love, and unwavering devotion to those fortunate enough to know him.

Dwayne grew up in Tacoma, where he attended St. Ann's Grade School and graduated from Bellarmine Preparatory School in 1972. After graduating, he answered the call to serve his country with honor, enlisting in the United States Navy and proudly served as a Torpedoman's Mate from 1972-1976 aboard the USS Dixon. He then attended Tacoma Community College and achieved an Associate Degree. From 1979-2016 he worked as a valued employee as the Production Manager at Ink, Inc. Dwayne enjoyed watching basketball, football and baseball, but his main passions were fishing and hunting.

Beyond his military service, Dwayne was the heart of his family. He was a devoted husband to Beth, whom he cherished every day. He was a loving son, a wonderful brother, a proud uncle, an adored nephew, a loyal cousin, and a steadfast friend. Whether offering a helping hand or sharing a story from his Navy days, he gave freely of himself and had a heart of gold and would always give you a hug and a big smile.

Dwayne's parents, Wayne and Terry Christiansen, preceded him in death. He is survived by his beloved wife Beth, his sisters Cindy Bryant (Gary), Susan Carmichael (Phil), and his twin sister, Terry Lee Bender (Mark), his special Auntie BB, many tight-knit cousins, eight nieces and nephews, 14 grand nieces and nephews, along with a wide circle of extended family and dear friends who will miss him profoundly.

A Private Family Memorial service will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA.

Although he is no longer with us in body, his spirit lives on in the memories we hold and the lives he touched.

Fair winds and following seas, sailor. Your voyage is done, and the Lord has called you home. Rest in Peace.

Chris was my best man at my wedding, because he was the best man and best friend any one could meet. He was a lot of mens best friend because he was easy to be around and a lot of fun and always there for people. He laugh a lot and knew how to be a friend, he was genuine. Thank you Lord for putting Dwayne, Chris, Do, in my life. Rest in peace Bro
