Dwayne Lamont Gardner, departed this Earthly realm on 4 November 2023, after a short but debilitating illness. Considered by many as a modern day Robin Hood, L'il Waynie, as he was affectionately known, fought valiantly until the end. He was preceeded in death by his mother, Jeanette Gardner, and his paternal grandfather Floyd Gardner. Dwayne is survived by Juanita Gardner, his maternal grandmother, his brother Douglas, uncles Clifton (Karen) and Harold (Monika Cassius), Auntie Maria, and cousin's Kristina and Aaron Gardner, along with a multitude of friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on a date and place to be determined.

To The Family, I would like to express my deepest condolences for the passing of Dwayne. It's kinda hard because Waynie was just like family to me as well. ", Meathead" as I affectionately called him was a legend in his own time. He was a gentle giant, a loving, caring, sweet soul. He was truly a friend of mine. Waynie would give you the shirt off of his back. I have so many fond memories of Waynie that will now become treasures. He fought a courage fight to the end and the only comfort I know is Christ Jesus and now he can take his rest. Waynie will truly be missed but will forever remain in my heart. Be encouraged family.
