Dwight Drew "Country" ELLIS Sr.

I can't believe it's been almost 5 years sense you left . I think about you often at work when I have to change a light bulb .I guess heaven is a little brighter now because I know you are keeping the bulbs changed out . Miss you man

I only this morning, September 16, 2010, found out that Drew passed away last year. I wish I had known. I went to high school with Drew and over the years when occasionally seeing each other it was as if we had never been strangers. A trait I see he was well known for among his many freinds. I'll call Rose later today. Our upcoming 45 year Tucker High School Reunion is in two weeks. Anyone from Tucker Highs original graduating class of '65 I hope to see you there.

Dad, not a day goes by that I don't think about you. I don't understand the plan, but God knows more than I. No holiday is the same without you. You made every occassion special and a production. The show couldn't go on without you. The more I look at Dawn and how unique she is, I think of you. We were looking at an old pic of you tonight and Dawn said "Rob looks just like Grandpa used to." Through him I also constantly am reminded of you. Sometimes he says something and I look at him and say ok Dwight Ellis. I know you're in a better place. You are deeply missed.

Sorry to learn of "countrys" passing at such a late date,my deepest feelings go with your family,I enjoyed my time working with him and his love of life . I know his family will miss him much as will his many friends. I am sorry to be so late writing this but I just found out.

May God bless your family at this most difficult time in your lives. Dwight was such a delightful and truly unique person. I enjoyed the many special occasions I shared with you and Dwight. Why, it was only last year when I was in Richmond, and we met with other friends for a special dinner, not knowing I would not see Dwight when I return to Richmond next year. I shall miss seeing Dwight. Remember memories never lose the magic to rekindle the closeness that lives on in the sacred places of the heart. May God bless your family at this most difficult time. Country was a truely unique and a very enjoyable person. His smile was contagious and such a joy to be around. A man is judged by his deeds and actions so find comfort in knowing Gods new angel is in heaven waiting for us all. I worked with him at Nabisco for many years and will miss him.

We were sorry to learn of Country's passing. I worked with Country for over 30 years. He was an unique person. Truly he will be missed by many. God bless you at this time & the years to come.

I met "Counrty" at Nabisco when I first came to the US from England and he would always ask about London and how he wanted to visit and then one day he told me he was going and how much he was looking forward to seeing the Queen. Had many a good time Bowling and Kareokeing with Dwight and Derek. God Bless Dwight and his family.

Bill and I worked with "Country" at
kraft/Nabisco for 25 plus years. This was a man that loved life and enjoyed every day. I cannot ever remember ssing him upset or angry, he was always happy. He brought joy to this world and I'm quite sure he will continue to bring joy in his next life. Our deepest sympathy to Roseana and family. Country will be truly missed.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. It has been nice to get to know you both better at our Tucker HS Reunions. I feel like we have lost another classmate, too soon. We are rarely ready. Nothing but time, the love of family and friends, allowing yourself to grieve and finally being able to remember the good times, seems to lessen the pain. When I think of Country a smile automatically appears. He was a joy to work with and will be greatly missed. His humor and joy of life brightened many a day. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm so sorry to hear about country. You will be deeply missed. He was such a great guy! He worked many years with my dad at Nabisco, Phil, and he loved him. Always nice, Alot of fun and always had something nice to say. I loved watching him make ballon animals. He never met a stranger. The world will be a different place with out him. i'm so sorry to here about country he was such a nice guy.i worked with him at nabisco and he always was a happy person.we seen you both at the richmond moose alot.

Dwight never met a stranger. He was a great person and will be missed by all who knew him. He loved his family and devoted his free time being with them. It was a pleasure to have known him.
