Dylan Ellis Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jun. 16 to Jun. 24, 2008.
ELLIS, Dylan - It is with great sadness that we announce the tragic death of our beautiful boy Dylan on the evening of June 12th 2008 in Toronto. Dylan is the beloved son of Karen and Mario and devoted brother of Kiri, Cody and Akasha. Dylan is also survived by a very large extended family and many, many friends who will carry his spirit and the love he had for them in their hearts always. Dylan was born on December the 1st 1982. He graduated from Royal St. George's College in Toronto and went on to obtain a degree in photography from Dawson College in Montreal. After graduation Dylan went to work at Elevator Digital where they too became a part of his family. Dylan's passions in life were his sports, photography, his family and friends and the music that he played every day that brought him such joy and that we will hear in our hearts forever. To all his friends who he loves so much, know that you will all be our kids forever. A celebration of Dylan's life with family and friends will be held at ROSEDALE UNITED CHURCH, 159 Roxborough Drive, on Wednesday June 18th at 11 a.m. Our hearts and all our love are with the family of Oliver Martin who also lost their beautiful son. We know Dylan and Oliver are together. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dylan's name can be made to the Jacques Cousteau Society (www.cousteau.org) to reflect his love for the ocean. Condolences and memories may be forwarded through www.humphreymiles.com. Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles Chapel 416-487-4523

Dylan,
In life you were everyone's light and laughter. You always welcomed everyone without judgement, with open arms. Because of this you brought so many people together to become a loving family. Now, even in death, you have brought us all together again, to love, and laugh, and share memories. Most of all to recognize exactly what you preached; do not take anything for granted, and seize every moment you can with the people who are truly important. You never know how fleeting they can be.

Thank you for that.

The past few days have been a major eye opener. We all love you.
