Dylan Jacob Thomas Summerville - Dylan Jacob Thomas, 21, of Summerville, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 6 o'clock until time of service at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 7 o'clock. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to MADD Donations, 511 E John Carpenter Freeway, Irving, TX 75062. Dylan was born on July 14, 1997 in St. Paul, MN, son of Terry and Lynette Thomas of Summerville. He graduated from Summerville High School Class of 2015. He worked as a Direct Support Professional for Berkeley Citizens, Inc., working in community training homes. Dylan was passionate about Science and loved the ocean. He wrote poetry, short stories, and enjoyed reading. He liked listening to Air Traffic Control, collecting fossils, and enjoyed playing video games. Most of all, he was a kind hearted, caring, giving soul who gave much laughter and empathy and never expected anything in return. Survivors including his parents Terry and Lynette are: one sister: Nina Thomas of Summerville; two brothers: Terry Thomas, II (Shelby) of Bloomington, IL and Christopher Thomas (Jordan) of Greenwood, SC; grandparents: Robert and Toni Horning of Mankota, MN; Several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
