Mrs Evelyn May (Maisie) Gannon (83), a resident of Kirkby Manor Nursing Home, and formerly of Martyn Avenue, Sutton, was cremated at Mansfield after a service at the crematorium chapel.
Born at Sutton and educated at the town's Priestsic Road School, Mrs Gannon, who was a life-long local resident, had worked as a market trader, at Meritina factory and also at the Metal Box.
She enjoyed socialising and watching television.
Mrs Gannon, who died at King's Mill Hospital, Sutton, leaves her husband, Mr John Joseph Gannon, two sons, two daughters, 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Slater, Mr and Mrs R. Marsh, Mr and Mrs H. Dean, Mr and Mrs J. West, Mrs J. Ward, Mrs J. A. Clarke; Elaine (representing Kirkby Manor), Mr I. Ward, Mr and Mrs N. Cod, Mr A. Cod, Miss M. Cod, Mr A. Cod.
Floral tributes were from family and friends.
The service was conducted by Mrs S. Oscroft, and arrangements were by K. Gregory & Sons Ltd.
