My son, Malik Brathwaite, was a student of Mrs. Wadiak this past year. Malik liked her very much, which is saying a lot, because he doesn't like any of his other teachers. I liked her a great deal too, because she was always willing to talk, and to answer all of my questions. She genuinely liked Malik. I takes a special person to be a teacher. Mrs. Wadiak was a very special teacher. We will miss her.

I don't know where to begin. I heard about the accident on the news and prayed that it wasn't Teresa and Jim. Teresa was my cooperating teacher at UVA (85'). She taught me how to teach. She introduced me to Jim and Julie and made a sometimes lonely student, part of her life. I will forever love, cherish and miss her. She was WONDERFUL!!!

Jim and Tess were my brother and sister-in-law. They were my children's favorite aunt and uncle. They were a very special couple and will be forever in our hearts.

These tragic deaths were a tremendous loss to our community. Teresa was my son Alex's 7th grade English teacher during the 2000-2001 school year at Irving MS. He remembers her as an inspiration to her students.

May God continue to bless your family. Even though I did not know you I am happy that you had twenty-five years
