John Behel Obituary

John C. Behel, 89, of Mechanicsburg passed away at home on Tuesday, November 30, 2010.
He was the son of the late George and Grace Diven Behel.
John was born April 10, 1921 in Lewistown, PA.
He was a WWII veteran, serving in the Army Air Forces as a pilot of B29s.
John worked for the PA Game Commission as a game warden in Luzerne County. He became the Hunter Safety Coordinator and was instrumental in the creation of the Game Commission's Hunter Safety Program.
Surviving are his wife, Helen Stuck Behel, a son, John L. Behel and wife Jeannette. He is also survived by two grand-daughters, Amy Behel Erno and husband Michael, and Rebecca Behel Orsinger and husband Matthew. John had one great-grandson, Nathan Erno and two great-granddaughters, Aubrey and Lillian Orsinger.
There will be no viewing. Interment will be in the Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
