This obituary as well as these guest book comments capture so much of the life values and wry tone of your father. He was loved and will be missed by his nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Carol, John, Rob & Diane - I want to express my deepest sympathies on the loss of your father. Although he retired only a few years after I started practicing law, Earl had a hugh impact on my career. He always took the time and showed great patience in answering my numerous questions. Dear Carol, John, Diane, and Rob,
It hurts to think of Earl being gone, but his spirit endures. I have many happy memories of time spent with him and Ele in years gone by, and of being treated to his fiction, his political commentary, and his wry wit. The obituary tribute was terrific, although I'm sure if he read it he'd say something like, "Oh, please!" May he be feeding peanuts to Yoko the dog somewhere in the afterlife.
