Earlena Vaughn Obituary
Portsmouth - Rev. Earlena Garrett Vaughn formerly of Portsmouth, Virginia passed in Detroit, Michigan on March 15, 2016. She was a former member of Celestial Baptist Church, a member of the I.C. Norcom High School Class of 1964, and a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Charles Vaughn, a son NyRon Vaughn, her mother Olga Garrett, 1 sister, 5 brothers, and numerous other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father Abraham Garrett.
Funeral Friday, April 1, 2016 11:00AM Fourth Baptist Church by Rev. Charles Beamer. The burial will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park, VA Beach. The family will assemble at her mother's home 1414 Ekstine Drive at 10:00AM.

I can not wrap my head around the fact that Earlena is gone. I think about her all the time; when I see a Black Escape go down the street, when I see a suit that reminds me of her,(she loved her clothes) her smile, her advice and all the love she generated. I miss you Earlena. May you rest in peace. Love
