GREENSBORO - Ms. Earlene Willis departed this life on Thursday, July 23, 2009, at Guilford Health Care Center.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today, Tuesday, July 28, at Love and Faith Christian Fellowship. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery. Family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
Ms. Willis was born February 10, 1926, in Greenville County, S.C. As a teenager Ms. Willis moved to New York to seek employment. She spent many years as a prestigious care-giver and dedicated factory worker.
Later, Earlene married Will Willis and moved to Raleigh, North Carolina, where she lived until March of 2008. While residing in Raleigh she was a faithful member of Martin Street Baptist Church and a member of the Seniors Club at Robert Park Community Center.
Ms. Willis later returned to Greensboro, where she became a member of Love and Faith Christian Fellowship. She enjoyed participating in the Season Saints Ministry and attending weekly Bible class and Sunday worship services.
Ms. Willis leaves precious memories to her brothers, Walter H. Pinson (Mary) and Joseph Pinson; sister, Viola Garris of Greensboro, and a host of relatives and friends.
