Was not aware of Doc's passing until I read about it today in "Year in Review" events for the year. Would certainly have attended his services. Was a tennis player under him at Southern MS and friends with his children. So sorry Billy, Kelly, and Larry Jr. Also Phyllis, his wife. Your Dad/Husband was a great man.

Billy, so sorry to hear this sad news. I had the honor of knowing your Dad when I came to work at USM. He was a legend around here. I will pray for your loss and I can personally relate from losing my Dad, too. By the way, I still have those shotgun shells with those Smokey's price tags. Take care and I wish the best to you and your family.

To The Harrington Family,
Doc was first a gentleman and skilled professional. He was always so personably and kind. I remember him during his years of work at USM. I often wonder as to the reason that I love Hattiesburg - It is because of people like Doc Harrington. I pray for family's adjustment during this difficult time. God Bless!

Doc was very loved and respected by all of the student athletic trainers at USM! All the students that trained under him are now out on the fields training others! His influence and legacy will carry on for many generations to come!

Doc was first a good Christian man as well as a great father and husband and a loyal friend. He was an extremely hard worker who loved his family and was always ready to sacrifice for others. He was such a kind person. I never heard him say anything harmful about another person. He was a a great role model. We need role models like Doc more than ever today. He will be missed but he left us many offspring with his values and characteristics. I am very thankful for having a friend like Doc in my life. God bless the Harrington family.
