Coach Klum was my backfield coach when I played varsity football at Ann Arbor Pioneer High School. We were fortunate to become State Champions that year. All the time that I was on the practice, or playing fields, I never saw Coach Klum ever get angry with any of the players. If you made a mistake, he would make a tell you how to do it better next time, and he did so in a way that made you make sure that you didn't disappoint him. He was a great coach that taught us well, and he was always a very classy guy, both on and off the field. He will always be thought of in this way. God Bless Coach Klum.

My first contact with Ed was in Ann Arbor High. He was the backfield football coach . I also had recall having contact with him as a basketball coach. We shared many experiences over the years. He was an assistant and scout for my brothers Huron high basketball team for a number of years. Ed was a participant in our AA old timers zoom group for a brief time . Ed was around 92 then. I visited Ed late 2023 and made a couple memorable videos of his comments . I cherished all contacts with him and he was all that everyone has said about him. He will be dearly missed as I remain;
as he called me, Don "The BomB"

I first knew Ed from the Social Studies Department at Huron when student teaching. He was a smart and fun guy to be around. He came to our class and gave a tremendous play-by-play of Archduke Ferdinand´s shooting that was one of the events that started WWI. Truly a great teacher, friend and colleague.
