Eddie was like a brother to me. He was one of those guys who knew a little bit about most everything from computers to cars. I vividly remember every time I called Ed with my mechanic's car report/bill for service. He would applaud my earnest car maintenanace of my Jetta Diesel and always say about my bill: better than a monthly car payment ! This always was a comfort to me.
Going to Rehoboth beach with Ed and Tom and Mary was always a joy. Ed introduced me to the Pony Shuffleboard games @ Funland ; to this day it remains an annual event. Rehoboth with Ed and Tom meant an elegant umbrella, good eats, and interesting introductions and people watching !!!
I still remember when Ed met Tom and solitary life unfolded from the JHH NICU into- Elwood Avenue-----> Sebastian Jaymes---> Daphne------->Helen's Garden------> Gypsy Queen......... Ed and Tom truly led a rich and devoted life.
It was a privledge to be able to know Edward Sebastian Scherer III.

I first met Mr Ed when he and his partner Mr Tom, opened up their Helen's Garden Restaraunt next door to me in 1996.
I can say that I considred it a true privilege to be able to know Mr Ed. It was always a pleasure to talk to him.
For those of us who lived in Canton and went to Helen's Garden, Mr Ed will always live on in our wonderful memories of him. Memories which will stay with us our entire lives. He brought a lot of pleasure into my life and the lives of many others who knew him
My condolences to Mr Tom and all of Mr Ed's family
