I hope you and (My dad) James Biles and uncle Donnie are spending quality time together. I remember all the time we spent at your house and on the lake, motorcycle rides. Funny how life works as we get older, we leave the nest and drift away, so involved in our own life we loose touch with family. You and aunt Bobby was my favorite and I enjoyed ever minute U was at your house so don't forget it! I love and miss you. Tell dad I miss him yoo.

Wanted to drop by to let you know that I still think about all the fun we had as kids coming to your house. Boating and motorcycle riding and so much more..Still got the picture when the swing you and aunt bobbie was on broke and fell to the ground. Such great memories. You was always laughing and joking. Never a dull moment being around the family. Love and miss you!

When you speak of him speak not with tears
for thoughts of him should not be sad.
Let memories of the times you shared give you comfort
for his life was rich because of you.
And though for now you had to part,
though to part he did not choose;
he'll be with you along life's path, He was loved by so many and he was and still is one of the best people I ever known...He Has been missed by so many but he will always be a star in the sky so when you look upon the star you will see him shining so bright..It has been over a year now and the memories are still as clear as ever...All the times I spent with my aunt and uncle when I was little will always be in my heart..I love and miss he very much.

Eddie was one of a kind. He always made you feel like you were the "most special friend" he had. Eddie helped out anyone in need and I was one of those people more than once. When I moved to FAU in the mid '90's, it was Eddie and Bobbie who helped me move HEAVY furniture to the second floor apartment and when I came back it was like I never left. One of the first times I met Eddie was when I had a year end party at my house and Eddie jumped off the diving board into the pool and onto a big alligator and caught his swimming trunks on the end of the diving board. Eddie and Bobbie and I have shared many wonderful times together. They are family to me.

Eddie and Bobbie were like surrogate grandparents to my girls. Kate and Tori had never ridden on a tractor until they saw Eddie's and they loved to play in the pool. Both Eddie and Bobbie opened their home and their hearts to others like us. I can only remember Eddie smiling and I know he is now in a better place. My heart goes out to Bobbie as she learns to bear the loss. Eddie was a good friend and a true gentlemen. We miss him.

Bobbie, Lisa, Jerome, Debbie and the entire family, We wish to express our deep sadness at the the passing of Eddie and want you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. Jan will always remember Eddie for his kindness and helpfulness during her first years at UF. He always had a smile and the right answers for her. I will remember his friendliness when coming over to the house for a birthday party or parking our car for GA-Fla football games. And yes, he asked me about "picking up some sticks" too! He always made us feel like family and we will always appreciate that. We will be there for you if you need anything. Jan and Dana Lucas

Dear Bobbie, Curtis and I were so saddened to hear of your loss. We didn't get to spend much time with Eddie, but know that he was a wonderful person. I have known and loved Bobbie since we were children playing at being grownups. As I read these tributes I know that you were blessed to have the time God gave you together. Love ya, Helen

We met Eddie and Bobbie in Oct 2005 - they were our "back door camper friends" in the Great Smoky Mtns. at Elkmont. My husband, especially, hit it off with Eddie right away, talking tractors, camping, etc. - We also had a good time of the "old timers" showing the "youngsters" how to use Earth Google, something we had never seen! And fond memories of the paper doll,Stanley, who we had also never heard of. Eddie & Bobbie talked lovingly of their family & home. We had a lot of fun talking to them and exchanging emails. We were looking forward to hopefully them joining us again this October. It was a chance meeting that we met them both, and we are blessed by meeting them both, and my heart goes out to Bobbie and the family. Our deepest condolences from the Cable family in Tennessee.

Eddie was one of the warmest, most positive and nicest people I've met. He liked everyone he met and loved his family very much. He never had an unkind word about anyone and invited everyone into his life to enjoy it with him. The world has lost a very special person. Right now, he is probably cooking black beans in Heaven and getting everyone together to eat and have fun. We will all miss him very much.

It truly has been a blessing to know Eddie and his family. The love and humor of Eddie and Bobbie is so evident in the rest of their beautiful family. Their love and caring is just so contagious. Eddie really helped me get through the emotional transition of moving from another country and adapting to a new work environment. But being "adopted" by the Biles family is ....priceless.

My mission now is to continue his legacy, when somebody needs my help I will say, "I'll be more than happy to help you". That way, I know Eddie still lives in me.

Our loss is Heaven's gain. And I am sure he is making St.Peter above laugh, and picking up sticks.

Heavenly Father sent 2 special Angels to Gainesville when he directed Eddie and Bobbie to us all. No finer man ever walked this earth than Eddie Biles. I knew he was "SPECIAL" the first day I met him at Elmore Hall before ever meeting his wonderful wife, Bobbie. We've shared special dinners, hot dogs, bean soup and his all time favorite French Fries and do not let me forget his spaghetti. Eddie and I were buddies from the beginning and I love him like he was the brother I never had. Being a friend of the BILES family was special and I soon discovered that they systematically adopted anyone that needed extra love, attention or any type of assistance. Whether that assistance was helping you move, put up a fence, cutting yards, giving you ride or just a big hug, praying with you and lending their ear your way with some good advice to be returned to you at the end. My heart is exploding with thoughts of this wonderful Family - Lisa, Jerome and their wonderful children you can say you had the BEST DAD EVER because he was SPECIAL beyond words. I just know when he reached Heaven there was a BIG celebration and Eddie walked in and said HEY KIDDO - I'M HOME!! I love you Eddie and I miss you already, my friend how I wish I could hear u say Do you want a French Fry or would u like to come over to my House and Pick up Sticks. GOD BLESS THE BILES FAMILY FOREVER!!

Bobbie and family,

You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry for your loss.

My memories of Eddie go back to when I first worked in C&G with Bobbie. I got to know Eddie as a kind and courageous man as he worked through a long illness. Later, when he came to work for UF I was able to see his sense of humor and willingness to help. I will always remember Eddie with a big smile on his face. He will be missed.

I met Eddie and Bobbie because of their daughter, Lisa. They quickly adopted me as well. I've had many meals at the Biles house as well as spent many nights at the Booher Bed and Breakfast. I could never be lonely with them to be my back up family.

Whether hours, days or years separated my visits, Eddie always made me feel like part of the family-welcomed and very loved.

He had such a warm, generous heart and such a funny sense of humor. I will miss his quiet ways.

Bobbie and Family:

We were saddened, indeed, to hear of the loss of your Eddie. After losing contact for some 40 years, we had located him once again and so looked forward to visiting with him and Bobbie, reminiscing about old days in the Navy and renewing a friendship for the future. We will cherish our good memories. God Bless you and all who will most assuredly miss him!

Although it's been only a handful of times I have seen Eddie in the past 10 years, my memories of him are very clear. He was a great man, with his jokes and fun-loving teasing. I'll never forget the strength and warmth of his hugs. My love goes out to all the family. I wish I could be with you all at this time.

I was so saddened by this news. I love you Eddie, always have, and always will. We go way back, from working at the Gainesville Airport in the 1970's, till your retirement at UF, and I miss you terribly. There has never been a more kind and gentle man. My memories of you are fond ones...especially your "bean soup" (I still have the cup you bought me), your love of old tractors, and telling me to "come on by anytime and help me pick-up sticks". My heart goes out to your entire family. God Bless!

When I think of Eddie, the first things that come to mind are bib overalls, tractors, family get-togethers, and a unique wit. He and Bobbie were always kind enough to include me in Easter family get-togethers at their home. Lisa did the same for me at Thanksgiving. Juanita, remember him asking you one time, "What are you doing?" And you told him "Seeing what I can get into." His response --"Well why don't you see if you can get into your car and go home." My thoughts are with the entire family.

On many occasions Eddie was more of a father to me than my own. I will never forget the zest for life and the courage that Eddie possessed to live it to its fullest every day. I will miss the big huggs he would give when we saw each other and I'm greatful for the wisdom he took time to share and the stories of the many memories of his lifes journey he would modestly tell. My heart goes out to the Biles family members for their loss and I want them to know how much I love them all......
