Eddie Bunch

Eddie D. Bunch, age 82, entered peacefully into eternal rest at his daughter's residence in Houston, TX on Sunday, October 2, 2022. He was a native of Heidelberg, MS and a resident of Avondale, LA. Eddie was the retired owner and operator of One Shot Tire Disposal, Inc. He was a former retread shop manger at Fleet Tire Service in New Orleans. Before his health began to decline, Eddie was active deacon at Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church. Beloved husband of the late Linda Brooks Bunch. Loving father of Cheryl Witherspoon, Cynthia (Lee) Holmes, Shenicka (Traig) Varnado, Uraina (Randy) James, David (Mary) Bunch, Derek (Tyra) Bunch, Eddie (Dana) Bunch, and Aaron (Taravia) Bright. Great grandfather of the late Chassidy Guidry. Son of the late Nute Bunch and Hattie Faulkner Bunch. Stepson of the late Pearler Bunch. Grandson of the late Willie and Susie Bunch, Luther, and Pearlie Faulkner. Brother of David Bunch, Asrie Bardwell, Margie Hunter, Azelean Bickham, Minnie Warren, Catherine Williams, Ruby Bunch, and the late Nute Bunch, TC Bunch, and Alice Hall. Eddie is also survived by 30 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church, 5919 Morrison Road New Orleans, LA on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Rev. Reginald Varnado, Sr., officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery Garden of Memories-Boutte, LA.
