Eddie Oran Denney

Eddie Oran Denney, 88, of Germantown, Tennessee passed away on Sunday April 23, 2023. He was born on September 14, 1934 in Springfield, Missouri. He married the love of his life, Fran Denney, at a young age and spent over 66 years joyfully married to her. Eddie spent most of his life cutting the hair of the many citizens of Memphis at his business, Edward of Memphis. In his free time, he loved fishing, golfing, and spending time with his friends and family. Through his time on this earth, he was always looking for ways to help others and to share the love of Jesus Christ. He will be missed as the amazing husband, father, grandfather, and friend that he was. Eddie will be missed by so many but all are thankful that he is no longer having to live through the trials of this world, but is now living alongside his Savior and many beloved friends and family members in Heaven.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Frances Denney; his daughter, Winfrey Harrison; his granddaughter and grandson, Alison Fleece and Billy Fleece; his sister-in-law, Peggy Denney; his niece, Sherry Denney; his nephew, Martin Denney; his great nephew, Chaz Denney; and the Collison cousins. He is proceeded in death by his parents, William Denney and Edith Denney; and his brothers, Charles Denney and Buddy Denney.

A Memorial Service for Eddie Denney will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023 at 10:00 am at Wesleyan Hills United Methodist Church. Visitors will be allowed to stay after to pay their respects to the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to by check to Wesleyan Hills United Methodist Church, where Ed was a faithful member for over 60 years.
