Edgar L. Gehman

Edgar L. Gehman, 91, a resident of Beverly Hills, Florida for the past 27 years and formerly of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 in the loving care of his family and Hospice of Citrus County. He was born in Sacramento, California on Sunday, February 26, 1922 to Edgar F. and Emily (Eppler) Gehman. Edgar retired in 1982 from Bethlehem Steel after 41 years as a research technician. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, during WWII in the B-24 Armor Tail unit, 8th division. Edgar volunteered for 20 years with the Beverly Hills Surveillance Unit, was a member of the 'Grabber Corps' and chairman of the Deed Restriction Committee for the Beverly Hills Civic Association.

Edgar was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Doris (Angle) Gehman; sisters, Evelyn Brunnabend and Virginia Boyle and son-in-law, William Schaeffer.

Survivors include his daughter, Debra L. (Gehman) Schaeffer of Shenandoah, Pennsylvania; sister-in-law, Shirley Frankett of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Chapel Service, Monday, August 19, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Fero Funeral Home with interment following at Fero Memorial Gardens.
