My Dad, Richard Carlson, informed me of Edith's passing and I was sad to hear it. My Grandma Ethel was a good friend of hers and I remember writing to Edith often. Acutally, Grandma taught me to always spell my words carefully because Edith had been a teacher! I greatly enjoyed cooresponding with her and eagerly awaited her letters while growing up. My children asked me who Edith was as they overheard my husband and I discussing her passing. I enjoyed telling them what I remembered. I also told them that she was an elegant women who lived a very long, rich life. My thoughts are with you all. Lisa
