EDMUND R. "Mick" BURKHART

My condolences to you Rick, your sisters and mom on your Dad's passing. God doesn't create many men like Mick anymore. He was a very proud father and husband.

I was fortunate to spend lots of my childhood at the Burkhart household hanging out with Denise, Trish and Becky. Mr. Burkhart was a role model to others on how family comes first and it was clear how much he adored his wife and kids.

Some of the many fond memories When you arrived he would always greet you with a warm friendly smile and with his sense of humor you could count on him making you laugh. The house was always busy and sometimes hectic with four kids, but full of love and happiness.

Him taking Denise and I (in the VW bus!) to Bingo or Woodley Pool, the pride he took in his vegetable garden on the back hill, the efforts he made so the kids could have outdoor pets (i.e. rabbits, guinea pigs, turtles), crab feasts on the back porch, Michelob (both the dog and the beer), and the celebration by the Burkhart family the day he retired from the Air Force.
