Edmund SUGARS

SUGARS _ Edmund Edmund George Kirkpatrick Sugars of Calgary, Alberta, born April 16, 1924 in Salmon Arm, BC, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2004. He will be missed by his wife Leone Joyce Sugars; children, Donald (Susan McNab) Sugars, Geoff (Diane) Sugars, Stephen (Cheryl) Sugars, Jennifer (Rick) Grover; grandchildren, Jill, Trina, Rick, TJ, Max; brother John (Pearl) Sugars; and sister Maggie (Moe) Woodland. As a young boy growing up, Ed had his eyes to the sky. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and got his wings in 1943, and went on to serve with the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan as a pilot instructor. He was later seconded to the British Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm. Ed received a doctorate degree from Penn State University in 1967 and went on to enjoy a career as Professor Emeritus at the Faculty of Management, University of Calgary. The family extends thanks to the Brentwood Care Centre for its loving care of our Dad and Grandpa. A Memorial Service will held on Saturday, October 9, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 - 4 Street N.W., Calgary (within the valley of Queen's Park Cemetery).
