BLACKWELDER, Edna Hales, 78, of Henrico, died on Saturday, December 5, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Brooks and Bessie B. Hales; and her brother, Dalton Hales. She is survived by her husband, Ralph Blackwelder; daughter, Lou Ellen Blackwelder, both of Henrico; her brothers, Terry (Mary), Bill (Lynette), and Tommy Hales (Elva Ann), all of North Carolina; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Edna was employed by Marsh, formerly J & H, for nearly 20 years, finishing her career as an insurance broker. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, a bridge player, an avid book reader, and a beloved friend, colleague and grandmother to Sam and Jacob...
