I am truly sorry for your loss. I have only the fondest memories of and greatest respect for Edna Keefe, who taught me AP English at WSW back in the mid '80s. She was a one in a million teacher and friend. She spent many extra hours providing sage counsel, working with me on my college application essays and was ever encouraging in my pursuit of a degree focused on US-USSR relations (almost everyone else I knew in Buffalo at the time thought this was bizarre and useless, as the Cold War had not yet begun its thaw). I went on to earn a degree in Russian Studies from Georgetown, studied abroad in Moscow, and have enjoyed a career working with the region, regularly traveling to places like Tajikistan and Azerbaijan. I will never forget her encouragement and guidance, a great testament to her intellect, open-mindedness, dedication to her students, and a deep kindness. May your memories of Edna bring you constant smiles and warmth.

Pat and Mary:
My sister, Mary, and I were saddened to hear of your mother's passing. She was a beautiful person and we are happy we were fortunate to re-connect with her after so many years, and also to meet her beautiful daughters. You are truly her angels. We shall keep her in our hearts forever. Much Sympathy to all the family.

Dear Mary, Pat and Family:
We have no words to describe how sorry we are for your loss. We only had the pleasure of meeting your mom briefly, but she left an impression. I'll never forget the kind words she had for our son Eric on our daughter Miranda's passing last year. We still have her card. Please know that we think of you often now and always.
Much Love,
John, Patti, Miranda and Eric XO

Mrs. Keefe was my AP english teacher and I always found her to be a bit formidable in the classroom. However, after school she was kind and gracious and shared stories about working with my mother at St.Martin's. Tim Fox

I'm so sorry to learn that Mrs. Keefe has passed away. She was my AP English teacher during my senior year of high school in 1985. She taught me so much about poetry and the beauty in words. My love for literature is the direct result of what she taught me in the classroom. That didn't come from anyone else, but her. May God bless her family at this sad time.

Edna was always such a tremendous inspiration to me. She had such wisdom, as did her husband, Bill; knowing them was such a gift. I will always remember them and the rest of the Keefe family with cherished fond memories.

My sympathies to the O'Keefe family. Edna was an outstanding model for me way back in 1972 as a young English teacher. Over the years our paths crossed frequently both professionally and socially and she was always the epitome of class, intelligence and dedication. She touched many lives in so many ways and has left an incredible legacy.
