30 year volunteer for
the Ottawa Civic Hospital
Peacefully at the Ottawa Hospital Heart Institute on August 8, 2012 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Francis Douglas Lauder. Loving mother of Kenneth, Stephen (Sheila) and David (Wendy). Cherished grandmother of Joshua, Delayne, Rebecca, Benjamin and 2 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Donald (Lilian) Appleby of Halifax, NS. Friends may call at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Road (at Roosevelt) on Monday, August 13, 2012 from 3 to 5 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 20 Grant Street, Ottawa on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated. Edna was not only a Resident of The Redwoods..she was a Dear Dear friend to many. I will miss our conversations that we had each morning when I stopped in to see her. You have earned your Wings Edna you will never be forgotten.

Dear Aunt Edna, I will miss you so much. I will always admire your willingness to volunteer your time to help others, your commitment to your family, and your ability to always put others before yourself. You taught me so much about life.. I have so many childhood and adult memories of you. I'll never forget my memories of what we shared when we were together. You were the best aunt ever. I'll miss you dearly. I love you. I feel your soft cheek against mine. I see your smile etched in my memory forever.
