Brother Ed was always a very passionate and positive force in the teaching and coaching community. He was a pleasure to know and work with. I will miss our conversations and his laugh.

To the family of Brother Ed Benson.

It is with great sadness to hear about Bro Ed Benson´s passing. Brother Ed was my basketball coach at St. Jerome´s High School many years ago. I am truly grateful to have had the opportunity to have known Brother Ed for those few impressionable high school years. Not only was he a great coach but taught me to be a better person.
Brother Ed has been mentioned to my kids many times as a man who gave me a chance when others may not have.
I will never forget the four years I had the opportunity to be coached by Brother Ed and the wonderful team memories. Go Lions!

You are truly missed Sir!

Brother Ed was my basketball coach at SJSH when I was in grade 9. He strongly believed in equality on the team. When he found out that some boys couldn't afford the latest shoe brands, he bought everyone the same brand of sneakers and we wore them throughout the season proudly. I was fortunate enough to coach with him when I started teaching. He was a man of deep spiritual convictions, a fine educator and mentor.
