Dear Magda,
On this one-year memorial of your husband's passing, I hope to share a spot of joy from the past: you and Ed meant to world to our mom, PAT RICHWOOD.
Your and Ed's friendship as a couple -- probably including Tommy for doubles -- was always recounted to us as warm, funny, special adventures in LA, Manhattan, and beyond.
Despite mom passing 16 years ago, there are still three kids-of-a-friend of yours and Ed's who light up at seeing or hearing your names. I accidentally saw your lovely tribute in today's Sunday LA Times and wanted to thank you for it. Ed's handsome photo was instantly recognizable from Mom's few photos of you all... I'll look for them.
I hope learning that three kids from Burbank stopped to honor your husband today brings you some small comfort. Together, you and Ed made a brilliant couple whom Pat held in highest esteem and loved dearly. We'd heard your names for nearly forty years, always with delight, and I want to send some of that love back to you now.
With love from Pat's eldest,
Blair

Dear Mrs. Bleier,
I just heard about the passing of your husband. I am writing on behalf of my late mother, Mara Blatman. She worked with him for many years and always spoke highly of him, and you. She truly like and respected him, as a man and employer. I me him several times and I always had a good impression of him. In reading about his accomplishments and what he had dome before I met him... I admire him even more.
I am truly sorry for your loss.

Thank you, Mr. Bleier, for introducing Looney Tunes to television, thus helping make Saturday mornings fun for us in the 1960s. We looked forward to watching Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, Foghorn Leghorn, Sylvester, Tweety, Yosemite Sam on our black and white televisions. In addition, thank you for being instrumental in diversifying the daytime shows, and bringing cable television into the mainstream. I still watch Looney Tune shows and still enjoy them. Your legacy continues.
May the power of prayer ease your sorrow, give you peace and provide much comfort for you. May prayers strengthen you and God´s loyal love always comfort and sustain you. 23rd Psalm

The Chuck Jones family sends deepest condolences and gratitude for all the many years of professional and personal support. My father used to say, "Any worthwhile endeavor should be 95% work and 5% love...and only the love should show. Ed Bleier was a poster child of that for everyone and everything he did.

How do you pay tribute to a man like you?
Since my earliest childhood, you've been kind, generous, attentive and protective. A second father figure.
It's hard to imagine the future without you....
Rest in peace, you've earned it.
