Edward Bock Obituary
Andrew was born on October 6, 1982, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the youngest of George M. and Joan P. Bock's six children.
Andrew grew up in Kansas City, attending Visitation Grade School and graduated from Rockhurst High School in 2001.
Andrew attended Missouri State University and earned a BS degree in Environmental Science, with minors in physiology and geography in 2007.
With a grand sense of adventure and strength of conviction, Andrew left his mark on all those lucky to know him.
Andrew is preceded in death by his father George M. Bock.
He is survived by his mother Joan P. Bock; five siblings Charles (Amy) Bock of St. Louis; Emily Bock Weck (Des) of Athlone, Ireland; Michael (Karen) Bock of Kansas City, MO; Katie Bock Nelson of Prairie Village, KS; John Bock of Kansas City; and step-brothers Kristopher (Brooke) Nielsen of Lenexa, KS; and Peter Nielsen of Omaha, NE; and 14 cherished nieces and nephews. .
In lieu of flowers, family asks for your consideration for gifts in his memory to the University of Missouri, First Lieutenant Amos Camden Riley Bock Memorial Scholarship, Rockhurst High School, or University Health Kansas City (formerly Truman Medical Center).
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 17th at Visitation Catholic Church, 5141 Main St, Kansas City, MO 64112; Mass of the Resurrection at 11 a.m. Internment at a later date.

My heart breaks thinking about the loss of such a unique human. There is literally no one like him. There are so many stories I could share when thinking about my friend Andrew. We spent some of our best years together both in high school and college. He was always looking out for me, frequently trying to give me some version of sage advice- which would usually leave one of us laughing. He was always up for an adventure, often going to music festivals with us even when he didn't like music. Or joining an Ultimate Frisbee team when he'd never played (actually, none of us had ever played). By year 3 we were the team to beat! The Jays, "we'll smoke ya". We had more fun on that field every week than we did some Friday nights. I'll never forget when he showed up one Halloween dressed like Lieutenant Dan, rolling around an apartment in a wheelchair. Where he acquired the wheelchair is still a mystery to me. He was a great friend to me and I enjoyed that time in my life more because he was in it. All of us SMS kids did.
