Today, when visiting the graves of family members at a local cemetery in Jackson, I was shocked and saddened to see that my dear cousin Karen had passed away last year. (I had wondered why I didn't get a Christmas card from her in 2021.) Unfortunately I wasn't notified, but I understand. Family does tend to spread out after many, many years. Then, upon just finding her obituary, I see that her brother Steve had passed as well- I had not seen a marker for him. I am saddened to find they are both gone but wish their remaining family well and want them to know that I will have fond memories of them both.

Ms. Smith taught both my boys at Cascades. What a gentle, kind and wonderful teacher. She will always be remembered.

Karen and I were good friends in high school graduating together. I pray that the family has peace and comfort.
