Edward Dahm Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jan. 10 to Jan. 14, 2024.
Steven's Point - Edward (Ed) B. Dahm, age 77, passed away on December 16, 2023 at Meriter Hospital in Madison. He was born in Waupaca, the son of Fred and Dorothy (Wendlandt) Dahm. During the 50's, the family moved to Steven's Point, and then to Beaver Dam, where he graduated from Beaver Dam High School. He then attended Technical School and moved to Milwaukee, where he was employed by Gimbel's Department Store. Ed then settled back in Steven's Point. Ed was a person who felt serving his fellow man was an essential part of life. He was named Big Brother of Milwaukee for his volunteering. Ed also helped in various aspects of his church, dedicated many hours with the Community Partners program in Steven's Point, and anywhere else he could lend a hand. He enjoyed visits with family and friends, engaging in discussions that included ethics, good books, politics, film and his impressive knowledge of his Milwaukee Braves and Brewers. Ed made this world a better place. He is survived by: his younger brother Jim (Rea) Dahm; sister-in-law Mary; nieces Lindsey and Katie; nephew Matt; and many dear friends. Ed was preceded in death by his parents and twin brother, Fred.

A Celebration of Life will take place this Spring. Notification will be published. If considering a memorial, please donate to Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee, 788 Jefferson St., Suite 600, 53202; or a charity of your choice. A special thanks to Mary, Sharon, Tom and Pastor Tim, and the outstanding medical staff involved in his care.
