Edward Dean

Born August 22, 1934 in Nashville TN, to Percy and Wilene Dean. Ed passed away on June 26, 2023 after suffering a series of strokes . A graduate of Seattle Pacific University, he founded Swanson-Dean Construction - winners of "award winning homes" - in 1962. SDL followed some years later - a new commercial construction company. Ed was elected president of the Master Builders Assn. in 1978. He spent over 50 years putting architectural elements together to create residential and commercial structures. Once retired, Ed started designing sculptures and became part of the team of artists at Heather James Fine Art in Palm Desert, CA. Ed was an avid skier, yachtsman, fisherman, and golfer. He is survived by his wife, Carol Bell, 4 children, Debra (Cliff), Cheryl, Christopher (Gretchen), and Stephanie (Matt), 5 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. A private celebration of his life will be held in the fall. A beloved man who will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
