Edward James deLaureal

I worked with Ed in 1999-2000. He's just one of the best people I ever knew. An amazing mentor, kind, hilarious and passionate person. I lost touch after I left work at Freeman, from time to time I searched online to try to find him. I'm sad to learn he's gone, but it's good to read here how much he earned the love and admiration of so many people. It's very well-deserved. Thanks so much Ed for teaching me well and making every day at work at Freeman a lot of fun, I'll never forget you.

Ed was just a great guy. So many laughs together back in Schweinfurt with Sgt Walter's mortar boys in B Troop, 3rd Squadron 7th Cav back in the mid 80s. Ed was a little wiser and more mature than the rest of us. He loved his son Clint that's for sure. So many great times, freezing in Grafenwohr and Hohenfels, partying in Schweinfurt or Coburg and just having a hell of a time while doing our patriotic duty. Sincerest condolences to his family and friends.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Ed's family and many close friends. Ed and I go back a long way (30 plus years) working together and as friends. His humor, intellect, wit, unwavering support and loyalty to his team will always be treasured. The jokes and fun that Ed brought to each and every day will never be forgotten. You were a true and unwavering friend that will always be deeply missed. Rest in peace brother!

"Doctor" Ed was more than a coworker. He was my friend, my mentor. I met Ed 13 years ago when I first started in this business, and he quickly became one of my most favorite people...ever. Our conversations, his teachings, his patience, his brilliant mind, our inside jokes no one else understood, his love for everything, our beautiful friendship...it's so hard to know that I will never see him again. I love you, Ed. See you down the road.

Ed was always a friendly face to see at work. He will be missed, S-sqrd.

For the last 5 years or so, Ed has taught me most everything I use with my working knowledge of AV. He has been an amazing mentor, and an even better friend. We're missing you greatly buddy.

Mr. Ed....you were one of the 1st people to welcome me to Freeman with that warm smile & a "Hello, my name is Ed-welcome!" Thank you for 20 years of sharing all the laughs, your kindness, your knowledge of so many things, your gripes, your stories of your family, your love of so many things. Thank you for being you. You were one of the good ones and you are already missed by so many. You did a damn fine job in this life Soldier...you've earned your peaceful rest! See you down the road friend.

I was so saddened to hear about Ed Delaureal passed away. I hope and pray that his family will have strength during this time of loss. Ed was a great coworker in my department for many years was well-loved and respected. The loss of someone dear to us is never easy. I hope that the love and support from his family and friends, including me, get you through this time. You're in my prayers brother.

Small world....my wife's sister is married to Doug DeLaureal, who is a cousin of Ed's. Whenver we passed each other at work he would always say..."What up, cuz!" He was a great person and will be missed. Take care, cuz!

I worked with Ed at FAV for 13 years. He was always a pleasure to be around, and one of the top Video minds in our business. He is missed.
