I had the great fortune to meet and work with Ed in the mid 90´s that included traveling to Japan to work on a complex project involving Japanese real estate moguls. I was totally unprepared for the experience. Ed was my guide, my inspiration and about the best traveling companion one could have in those circumstances. On our last day of a 10 day trip in Tokyo Ed got a call at the hotel. He put down the receiver and asked me if I wanted to see The Rolling Stones that night. They were on tour and their road manager was an old buddy of Ed´s from The Beach Boys days. I had to decide whether to go home to be with my wife and four kids or stay and have the time of my life. I went home. It is only now, 2 years after his passing that I am reading the news that Ed is gone. RIP my friend. Kelly, if you read this please let me know.Jonathan Plotkin. @spontoonist

I had the opportunity and pleasure of working with Ed at the Head of the Wolf in Santa Barbara. We worked together on a mission to open a second Wolf location at the Howard Manor Hotel in Palm Springs. We shared a sense of humor. Great Guy. Wise Man. I'll never forget him.

I went to the movies at the age of 12 to watch Ed with all the Beach Gang. I went to all of Ed's movies. It brought joy to a childhood with little.

Oh my, I have so many fond memories of Ed as we worked in many AIP Beach Party movies. My husband was tragically killed in an airplane accident at Windansea Beach in La Jolla, while I was in Hong Kong working in a film. After the funeral services, Ed invited me to stay at his canyon house in Beverly Hills, until I got my footing. We were still working in the Beach Party films. His generosity allowed me to gain by my footing and move into the future. I remember his wonderful sense of humor and his dry wit. I am so sorry, and wish his family all the best. I grew up with the beach movies and Ed Garner was my favorite member of the 'beach party gang'. I'd drag my Mom to see those movies and she'd buy me clothes that were the same as Ed Garner's and Johnny Fain's.

One of a kind! The most wonderful Gentle, Friend anyone could ask for. So many wonderful memories we all have. Loved coming home to Carmel and being greeted by his sweetness and humor.
Will be missed greatly ,but never forgotten. May God open his heart and hands and gently provide you peace. And may your hearts find a special and loving moment you shared together and that memory cradle you with comfort and grace.
All of our love to you Kelly
