I am sorry to hear of Ed's passing. He was my half 1st cousin. My wife AnnMarie and I only just met Ed and Roxy in 2019. I wish I could have known him better.

I very much regret hearing of Ed's passing. As his neighbor at Loon Lake, he typically offered me an enthusiastic "Hello" and practiced well the art of being a good listener and engaging conversationalist. He will be missed by so many.

I´ve known "Eddie" & Roxy since we were probably 12 years old. I went through their courtship, attended their wedding and have remained friends, seeing them every summer when we were all in the Adirondacks. I love them both and Ed´s passing is a terrible loss, especially for Roxy but for all of us and the many organizations he was involved in. I think the best best way to describe Ed is what was said in his obituary, "his indelible capacity for putting others at ease with his warm humor and fun loving nature". My love, sympathy and prayers for Roxy and family.

The New York State Federation of Lake Associations, Inc. Board of Directors and staff extend our deepest sympathy to the Griesmer family. We will always remember our friend Ed as a tireless advocate for the protection of New York's lakes. While he will be very much missed, his legacy will continue through the efforts of the Adirondack Lakes Alliance and NYSFOLA.
