I have known Mr. Jancsy for many, many years. He was father to Carolyn, his oldest child who has been a friend of mine since 6th grade when they moved from Everett to Danvers. He was a quiet man, but somehow we always knew what he was thinking. I was always in awe of him being an LT on the police department, which was an accomplishment it itself. I remember he always ran long distances and couldn't believe how far he would run. I'm pretty sure he even ran in the Boston Marathon.

I have not seen him for awhile but I can tell you he was a caring, compassionate man and I will deeply miss him.

My father in law was a very special man. In time of need he was always there. He is an example of how we should all live our lives. He was the best of the best. Forever he will be missed and loved.

Ann and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. Eddie was a wonderful man. It was an honor to know him and work with him. He always made me smile and was a good friend to Ed Gnecco
