Edward Kramer Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 31, 2025.
Edward L. Kramer, 64, a believer in Jesus Christ and a man of goodwill, passed away to his eternal resting place on March 26, 2025 in Boyertown, PA. He passed away peacefully in his home due to a heart condition. He was a devoted father to his daughters, a loving companion to his significant other, and a caring husband to his late wife.

Ed was born on April 8, 1960, in Pottstown, PA to the late Wanda (Swist) Kramer and the late Joseph Kramer. He was the youngest of their seven children and grew up in Royersford, Pa. He received technical training in the trade of welding and fabrication. He was a dedicated employee to Wayne Automation Corporation for 40 years as a welder fabricator. He also served many friends, family, and neighbors with his welding capabilities. He took great joy in helping others and was always very generous with his resources. His generosity stemmed from his deep relationship with Jesus, always wanting others to experience the love and grace of his heavenly father. He was a long time attender of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church.

Ed was married to his late wife, Lori (Kirlin) Kramer in 1980. They moved to Boyertown, Pa, where they raised their two daughters before Lori's passing. Some of Ed's favorite hobbies were cliff climbing, riding dirt bikes, rafting down the Schuylkill River, working on his many projects, and family vacations to Villas, NJ.

Later in life, he was joined by Judy (Rissell) Myers, as a caring loving companion for 15 years. In recent years, he enjoyed leisurely drives taking in the beauty of God's creation, watching various different church services online, and cooking up excellent dinners for him and Judy.

He is survived by his significant other, Judy Myers, his two daughters: Amanda Kunz (wife to Tom Kunz), and Melissa LaRosse (wife to Tyler LaRosse); his three grandchildren, Aliyah LaRosse, Gabriel Edward Kunz and Lily Marie Kunz; his mother-in-law, Lois (Becker) Kirlin; his brother, Joseph T. Kramer; his sisters, Mary Kramer and Sondra (Kramer) Reilly; and his goddaughter, Tara (Kramer) Henkel. He is predeceased by his late wife, Lori (Kirlin) Kramer; his brothers, Charles Kramer and Matthew Kramer; and his sister Charlotte (Kramer) Howard; and his father-in-law, Emerson Kirlin.

A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 11:00AM at Hopewell Community Church (1130 Commerce Dr, Pottstown PA 19464) with Pastor Bruce Mulberry officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00AM-11:00AM prior to the service.

Bob and I are truly sorry to hear of Ed's passing. The family and all of the friends of Ed have our deepest condolences and sympathies. He will always be remembered as a very giving neighbor always there to help out. We can remember a few times where we were definitely in need and there he was. God rest his soul. May he rest in God's hands in peace.

Amanda, Missy and Judy

What an incredible life and person. Ed was one of my favorite people, always smiling and full of laughter. It feels too soon but he truly lived a full and wonderful life. He would always bring a bright enthusiasm and energy that was fun and genuine. That's just one of the many reasons he was so well liked. He really cared about connecting with those around him. Sending you all hugs, love and light.

Dear Amanda, Missy and Judy,
Uncle Ed was a special person who would always brighten up the room with his energy. I always enjoyed conversations with him and hearing his take. His sense of humor was the best and he always put on quite a show! He will be dearly missed and forever loved.

What a joy it was growing up with my youngest brother Ed. Always making us laugh with a twinkle in his eye. Words could never express how much he will be missed. His generous heart, always willing to help anyone in need. He had a great faith in our Lord and would love to quote the Bible. I know the Kramer's up there are happy to have him again, but the rest of us will have to live with many happy memories
