I had the pleasure of working with Ed for many years while I was in Special Events at Brandeis. Ed became a trusted friend and confidant for whom I had great respect. My deepest condolences to his family. May he Rest In Peace.

Ed had one of the hardest jobs at any university and he did with such grace and amiability that everyone loved and respected him. I will always remember him fondly.

Ed was a patrol officer at Brandeis University PD in the mid1980s when I started as a brand new officer. He was a mentor and a genuinely good person. I learned a lot from Ed which helped me in my 40 year law enforcement career. Condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. RIP Ed.

A truly one of a kind compassionate and caring man. "Chief or Ed" was a loyal, devoted family man not only to his wife and daughters but to his "second family" as well. The Brandeis community was given a gift in Ed Callahan. His ability to navigate the landscape and keep all parties appeased for decades spoke volumes to his leadership style. Efficient, loyal, dependable and most of all empathetic
to all. May you rest in peace my friend. Your work here is done.
