Edward W. Milisits, 82, of Northampton, PA, died Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at his home. He was the husband of the late Margaret I. (Faust) who died in October 2009. Born in Northampton he was the son of the late John and Johanna (Lueberspech) Milisits. Edward was a Brakeman/Conductor for Conrail Railroad and P.B. & NE Railroad, Bethlehem, Ironton R.R., and The Reading & NJ Central Railroad for 43 years before retiring in 1993. He was a past member of the former St. Josephs Sick & Beneficial Society and the former St. Stephens Club both of Northampton. He was a longtime member of the American Legion Post #353, and the Lappawinzo Fish & Game Assoc., both of Northampton. In his earlier years he was quite the baseball athlete almost being drafted to the Yankees. He served his country as Corporal 4th Grade in the Army from 1946 to 1948. Survivors: Edward W. Milisits, II and wife Stephanie of Bethelehem, PA, William E. Milisits and wife Roslieb of Northampton, PA, Mark A. Milisits and wife Michelle of Bath, PA; one brother, Joseph Milisits of Saluda, VA; six grandchildren, Shawn, Nicole, Tiffany, Edward III, Courtney, and Sally; and two great-grandchildren, Austin and Aiden. Services: Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2010 at the Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067 where the family will receive friends from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the services. Rev. Dr. Robert Santucci will officiate. Interment, with graveside services will follow at 11:30 a.m. Monday, April 19, 2010 at the Fairview Cemetery, Northampton, PA.
