I am saddened to here of Eddie's untimely passing. To the family I extend my heartfelt sympathy. I was a fellow tradesman at GM with him for over 25 years.I recall the many interesting conversations we had together over the years.. Though at times we had differing view, Eddie would always passionately express and defend his viewpoint. There was no ambiguity about where he stood. I also remember speaking with him about his mother and witnessed his devotion to her. To those grieving Eddie's passing, I leave you with this quote;
"Tears are God's gift to us. Our holy water. They heal us as they flow"

My condolences go out to Ed's family. He was much too young to leave his dream living by the river. Nobody said that life was fair. May he rest in peace. Ron Radulski

My condolences to the Hycki family. I met Ed through Mike&Kim's Thanksgiving events. He'd bring his mother, Sally, as she was known to me. He always had an opinion on any subject spoken about. I could see he was a caring person. There aren't a lot of men who could handle the responsibility of caring for their mother on a daily basis.
May He Rest in Peace

I regret having lost contact with Ed after he retired. It shouldn't have happened, we were better friends than just coworkers. Maybe we were just too different for it to last. I'm happy to have known him.

Eddie was a great friend, he was always there for his family, with his help he went out of his way to help me get my late husband's benefit's, I will always be grateful for that. Also younger days hanging out at his sister Pat's house, and memories when he lived in Hamtramck, my brother rented the flat above him, will deeply be missed.

My heart goes out to his family.
I have not seen Ed in some time, Remembering how much he loved his "new" property.
A good man he was, he would always go into a battle that was right and not back down polictally. A good union man.
At time like this it hard to keep in mind, its GODS will.

My sympathy to Ashley, Ed's daughter and his brother, Larry. Ed was a sincere honest man. I will miss our monthly debates over world affairs and him talking about building his "personal park" down by the river on his land. Ed and I were both in agreement the best way to move people forward was with "Straight Talk". Will miss you brother...

Cousin Eddie was one special man. He honored my mother just weeks ago by being a pallbearer for her services. He had nothing but good to say about everyone. I am greatly disturbed and saddened by his tragic passing. My love and prayers to him and his entire family, especially cousin Larry. XXXOOO

Ed was a fine man and friend. He was dedicated to his family, his friends and his union. He made you a better person by challenging your beliefs or values and have you defend them. He will sorely missed. God be with him and the family.
