I personally did not know Ed. I have heard many wonderful stories about him and how great a man he was. He Loved his Family And all his friends. I wished that I had met him and listened to his stories. My goes out to Terry as she goes day by day to cherish all her sweet memory's.

I was blessed to have Ed as a friend. I met him through my job, and I'm so very happy that I did. He impressed me so much with his positive attitude. He had been through terrible things in his military service, yet he survived the grief and horror that he endured during those times. We had a routine every morning when I arrived. We had coffee together (and doughnuts of course!) and watched our favorite "Just for Laughs" videos on YouTube. It was so good to see him laugh! Sometimes it was hard to get my work done because he would say "Don't worry about that, relax and take it easy." Being there and helping Ed was the only time I felt relaxed and at peace. When my husband died Ed was so sympathetic. He helped me a lot to get through the pain. He could have made a million dollars as a counselor, his life experiences made him so kind and understanding. He had bad days like anyone else, of course. I always told him he was a true inspiration to me. I hope he believed that. He always spoke so lovingly of his family, they meant so much to him. He was a good friend. I never had a brother, but if I could choose one I would have picked him.

Ed will be fondly remembered by all of us in the DF area AA. He was wise and caring...and super funny, too! Our summer gatherings at Sugarloaf for annual Round Ups will forever be times I'll remember. Rest in peace, Ed. You are loved.
