My heartfelt condolences to you, Betty, and to your entire family. You've lost one of the great ones - a truly unique individual. Bud was a jack-of-all-trades and master of many - athlete, firefighter, card-player and raconteur; husband, father and grandfather; teacher, mentor and dear friend.

Dear Betty,
We are so sorry about Bud. Both of you have become a staple of our warm and sunny days, as well as treasured friends over the years. Please know we will forever cherish the dancing ready, card playing, steady and fun man you shared with us. We'll "be seeing Bud, in all the old familiar places, that these hearts of ours embraces.." much love, Cathy and John

Condolences to the entire Paxton family. The chief was a great boss & a gentlemen. I worked for him quite a few years in the 1980s on Tremont Ave., the Bronx, E45/L58/B18. He was fair, old school & a solid fireman. He certainly had the best penmanship!
Remembering those good times,
Kevin McGuire, Lt. FDNY ret.
